Web 3.0

So it turns out Web 3.0 will be the semantic web, which apparently is just going to happen because, you know, after Web 2.0 there HAS to be a Web 3.0.

So: Awesome! Glad we don't have to worry about that anymore.

I remain skeptical that number seven is really happening as successfully as some think it is, and number eight seems to have forgotten the point made in number one (which is the most crucial one of all), but this is an excellent article for a general audience to ponder.

I know that I've gone on and on about transforming bibliographic data into a semantic web format. And whenever folks have asked me: "What will it look like?" I haven't had a good response. Now there is something to show you: Freebase....

Have your browser understand what you are blogging about and suggest pictures, links, articles and tags to make your posts more vibrant. While you are writing your post, Zemanta analyzes the text and recommends additional content you can use to spice it up.

This module integrates Zemanta experience into Drupal workflow. After install you will have to change the input format to allow some additional tags.
